Privacy statement
Online application – personal data
For us the protection of your personal data is an important matter. The data you enter on our application portal are always treated confidentially and in compliance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
Transmission, use and processing of your data:
Your data will be exclusively used for the purpose of occupying the vacant post and the process this involves. When you make your profile available to us, you declare that you agree to your data being used for this purpose in the following scope:
- For storing and processing your application both in our database and on the servers of third parties whom we commissioned both for the data hosting of the application software and also with the application data, and with whom we have concluded an agreement for order data processing and
- for forwarding to already existing companies or companies which will exist in the future in accordance with Section 15 ff. of the German law on public limited companies (AktG).
The maximum storage duration of your application data shall be five months after you have been hired by our company or you have received a rejection of your application. If we invite you to our talent pool, your data shall be initially stored for 12 months. After the 12 months have expired, we shall once again secure your approval for storing for a further 12 months.
In the event of your data being released in our portal, it shall be used for checking other vacant posts.
Use of XING components:
In the case of the MASWER job exchange, components of the “XING.com” are integrated, which constitute a service of XING AG. When you call up our website – which is fitted with such a component – these components are used by the browser you use to download an appropriate presentation of the components of XING.
In this way our website receives from XING the personal data of the user, which we then store. XING neither stores IP addresses, nor is the user behavior evaluated. XING’s data protection instructions contain more information on this. These can be examined at: https://www.xing.com/privacy.
Cookies:
The MASWER job exchange uses so-called “Session Cookies”. These store data in the memory of your browser for technical session control, but no use data are stored. These data are then deleted at the latest when you close your browser.
With every access the following information is stored:
- IP address
- type of browser
- page called up
Changing your data:
You can change your data on our application portal at any time. With regard to this we would like to notify you that changes can have an impact on your entire application.
Linking your application to an origin page:
When our application platform is called up, the calling URL can be transmitted in the so-called “Referer header” of the HTTP protocol for technical reasons. In order to comply with the data protection principles of data minimization and purpose limitation, this URL is automatically anonymized on the server by removing any parameters it may contain. A parameter (specifically: referrer) is then embedded in the URL to recognize the origin of a page request. This makes it possible, for example, to trace which platform or website was used to access the job advertisement.
Important: No cookies are set in this context and there is no tracking across different sessions.
As part of the application process, separate consent is obtained from the applicant via a checkbox on the application platform below the data protection information:
-
With granted consent: The parameter is linked to the application. This enables us to evaluate the origin of individual applications and analyze the performance of different platforms in the recruiting process.
-
Without consent: Although the parameter is technically stored, it is not linked to the respective application. There is therefore no link to personal data, which is why consent is not required in this case. However, a statistical analysis of the specific application process is not possible in these cases.
This data is processed either on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) or - in the case of non-linked storage - on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymized reach analysis and optimization of our application process).
Revocation:
You can revoke in writing your consent for the future use of your data. Please note that the revocation will result in a cancellation of the application process. Please contact us in writing at the following address:
